buckling of viscoelastic composite plates using the finite strip method
Element free Galerkin method for crack analysis of orthotropic plates
A new approach for analyzing cracked problems in 2D orthotropic materials using the well-known element free Galerkin method and orthotropic enrichment functions is proposed. The element free Galerkin method is a meshfree method which enables discontinuous problems to be modeled efficiently. In this study, element free Galerkin is extrinsically enriched by the recently developed crack-tip orthot...
متن کاملNumerical Simulation of Shielding Current Density in HTS by Element-Free Galerkin Method
The numerical code for calculating the shielding current density in the high-Tc superconductor is developed by using the element-free Galerkin method. The behavior of the shielding current density is expressed by the integro-differential equations. In order to solve the initial-boundaryvalue problem of the equations, the equivalent weak form is derived. Since the form satisfies the essential b...
متن کاملGalerkin Method for the Numerical Solution of the Advection-Diffusion Equation by Using Exponential B-splines
In this paper, the exponential B-spline functions are used for the numerical solution of the advection-diffusion equation. Two numerical examples related to pure advection in a finitely long channel and the distribution of an initial Gaussian pulse are employed to illustrate the accuracy and the efficiency of the method. Obtained results are compared with some early studies.
متن کاملNumerical Simulation of Unsteady Combustion Using the Transport Element Method
The transport element method is described and implemented in the simulation of the non-premixed reacting shear layer. The method, a natural extention of the vortex element method, resolves the low Mach number variable density ow and the exothermic reacting eld. The eeect of combustion on the ow is accommodated by incorporating a volumetric expansion velocity component and by modifying the integ...
